Following you can find the official rules for the Intel® Crysis® Mapping Contest which need to be followed if you want to participate.

| 1. Level Submission Deadlines |
- Please upload your map onto the Crymod Modding Portal until the specific deadlines.
- For the InstantAction & PowerStruggle maps, please upload them by latest the 1st of April 2008, 6:00PM CET.
- For the Singleplayer map, please upload them by latest the 17th of June 2008, 6:00PM CET.

| 2. Multiplayer / Single player - Alpha & Beta Status Screenshot Submission |
- Each participant must deliver alpha & beta screenshots of his/her map.
- Not sending in screenshots results in a removal from the contest.
- Multiplayer Alpha Screenshot submission is on February, 5th 2008 and lasts until Beta Screenshot submission begins.
- Multiplayer Beta Screenshot submission is on March, 4th 2008 and lasts until level submission ends on April, 1st 2008.
- Singleplayer Alpha Screenshot submission is on February, 26th 2008 and lasts until Beta Screenshot submission begins.
- Singleplayer Beta Screenshot submission is on May, 6th 2008 and lasts until level submission ends on June, 17th 2008.
- Each participant needs to set up one thread for alpha screenshots and one thread for beta screenshots for each of his/her maps in the crymod challenges forum (link: click me).
- The thread subject should look like this:
<prefix> <mapname> - <username> - Alpha Screenshots <prefix> <mapname> - <username> - Beta Screenshots
(prefix = SP, IA or PS) e.g. "IA Testlevel - Cry-Alex - Alpha Screenshots"
- Each level entry needs to have at least 2 ingame screenshots (max size per file: 1600*1200px, 2MB)
- Screenshots should provide a good insight view of the level.

| 3. Levels Submission |
- Level submission needs to include the complete levels folder either in a .zip or .rar file.
- The .cry files from alpha and beta status (levelname_alpha.cry & levelname_beta.cry) need to be included in the submission.
- Package that is being uploaded needs to have a readme file that includes credits and/or the agreement when using copyright protected materials.
- Singleplayer level database entry needs to have a full description (story/mission of the level).
- Database entry needs to be in English.
- Multiplayer level database entry needs to have background description.
- Maximum Level size is 300 MB (zipped package).

| 4. Intel Logo Placement Rules |
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo needs to be placed properly and clearly visible somewhere in the map.
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo will be available for download on the following web site only: icmc.crymod.com
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo is not allowed to be edited or modified in terms of overall look, color scheme and aspect ratio.
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo is not allowed to be placed onto the following edited items: every weapon available into the original Crysis® game (including ammo, guns, rifles, automatic rifles, missile launcher, hand grenade, knife, and alien weapon) as for every armed/armored vehicle available into the original Crysis® game (including: tank, armored boat, armored jeep, armored plane)
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo is not allowed to be placed onto any new created weapon or armed vehicle that could be created during the contest.
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo is not allowed to be edited at any case or will result in the participant being excluded from the contest.
- The use of Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo is strictly limited to the "Intel® Crysis® Mapping Contest"
- Any improper use of the Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo will result in the participant being excluded from the contest.

| 5. General Rules |
- Only levels for Crysis are being accepted.
- For Singleplayer, no adjustments of XML/LUA files are allowed.
- A Singleplayer map should be delivered as such and not as a mod.
- Seperate judgings for Singleplayer, Multiplayer InstantAction and Multiplayer PowerStruggle will happen.
- Each user can only submit one level per category that are Singleplayer, Multiplayer InstantAction and Multiplayer PowerStruggle.
- Level should not have been released before the final submission.
- Level needs to be the own creation of each user.
- Assets for the levels can be taken from the Crysis Game.
- New assets can be added via the existing Exporters.
- Additional assets must be included in the level.pak file.
- Singleplayer mission needs to be fully playable.
- Multiplayer levels need to be working in LAN and online.
- Music, Voices and other sound files and/or text needs to be in English language.
- No copyright infringements are allowed.
- The competition will run from 15th January 2008 until 17th June 2008
- Staff Members of Crytek, Crymod, EA Games, Intel, ESL, ClanBase, InCrysis/Nvidia, EAMasters, [00] and GT Crysis teams and pre-SDK mod teams are not allowed to participate.

| 6. Special Awards |
- A map submission can be valid for the main categories and the available special award if it matches the respective criteria.

| 7. Multiplayer - Special E-Sport Award |
Next to the usual submission of a Multiplayer InstantAction or PowerStruggle map there is a special award for E-Sport capable maps. If you want to have your map being reviewed for the E-Sport Award as well then please follow the rules mentioned below.
InstantAction level needs to match 1on1 criteria:
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo needs to be placed properly and clearly visible somewhere in the map.
- Small level.
- Balanced design.
- Weaponry placement without GAUSS, LAW, Hurricane, MOAR/MOAC, C4, Smoke Grenades.
- Level borders by using solids.
- Minimum 16 spawn points.
PowerStruggle level needs to match 6on6 criteria:
- Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo needs to be placed properly and clearly visible somewhere in the map.
- Small to medium sized level.
- Balanced design.
- No weaponry placement.
- Level borders by using forbidden areas.
- Minimum neutral buildings placement:
- 2 Alien Crash Sites (Use "SmallEnergySiteFastIndex" as prefab to allow faster energy rising)
- Minimum faction buildings placement:
- Additional barracks for spawning and purchasing weaponry and equipment

| 8. Singleplayer - Special Cutscene Award |
If you want to participate in the Cutscene Award section next to the usual Singleplayer category then make sure your level includes a cutscene with following content:
- Cutscene needs to be at least 2 minutes long.
- Cutscene should include voices.
- Cutscene should have background music.
- Cutscene needs to include at least one Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme logo.
